The openly gay U.S. Congressman Barney Frank has wed his long-time partner James Ready in a private Saturday evening ceremony, becoming the first sitting congressman to enter into a same-sex marriage. 

According to Frank’s spokesman Harry Gural, the nuptials between the 72-year-old Democrat and his 42-year-old partner took place at the Boston Marriot hotel in Newton before the couple’s 300 relatives, friends and colleagues
