The Desert Rattler
You might be asking yourself, is this a natural growth of this man's image in this tree? This is a natural formation that grew out of a redwood tree, and is known as a burl.
Everyone will see something different about this image of a man. I can't help but stare at him and think of an old man that has weathered many a storm. He has been beaten by the winds of nature, along with all teeth rotten by nature's wrath, and now all gone. He still has a few strands of moss hair, but soon will be taken by the birds of the forest to build their nests to bear their young.
I tend to think of how we all are aging, and even this Old Man In The Tree; can be identified by someone we have seen, or maybe ourselves in the mirror. People see various images in different ways today, most are of religious objects.
This old man in the tree is real. This was taken in California, in the redwood forest in 1961. Whether or not it still remains, is unknown to me at this time. Maybe someone out there has some updated information...........
